Lulutress Passion Twist Review

Hi,

Gaudi here. I hope you had a great holiday season!

I'm kicking off 2022 with my first hair product review, the Lulutress Passion Twist.

You can watch the full review on Youtube here:

The 18 inch Passion Twist is a versatile look that falls to about mid to lower back. The colour that I chose to wear was 1B/27.

These twists are pre-made from the Lulutress water wave. It's a chunky twist that's quite curly, with a soft texture and a glossy look.

Pros:

1.Fast Install

A great advantage of this style of hair is the fast install time.

It's pre-looped so it's easy to install.

Aside from the cornrows, it took me around an hour to install this hair. When you have kids like me, time is scarce so I was suitably impressed.

Usually with the curly styles I wear, like the water wave or the Bohemian Braid, I need to knot each hair several times so it doesn't slip, but with the Passion Twist this one knot is enough. The hair is not going anywhere.

2. Washes well

I followed my basic wash routine.

First, washing my scalp. My usual go-to is the OGX Turmeric Shampoo and the OGX Turmeric conditioner.

Once I've washed my scalp, I wash the extensions with only conditioner and water. I usually use any cheap supermarket conditioner. I try to go for one that has a lot of slip. This time I used the Palmolive Smooth and Shine conditioner. This has Macadamia oil in it.

Afterwards, I apply Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine to my extensions to give it that extra ummph and then I dry any excess moisture with a hair dryer. Ta-da! Donesies!

I've worn this hair over summer, gone to the beach and the swimming pool and also washed it twice now, and each time it came out looking just fresh.

I had them in for 9 weeks at the time of filming and the hair itself aged well but my cornrows underneath were failing me.

You can also take these out and re-install them at a later date if you don't want to wear them for as long as I did. They are re-usable since they're quite easy to take out.

3. Extremely low maintenance

I found that this hair is extremely low maintenance.

Usually with my curly styles I'm used to detangling every 3 or so days. I did the same when I was wearing the bohemian locs. But I didn't need to detangle the Passion Twists at all.

I even slept without a bonnet most nights as I had this style in tthe middle of summer and the satin bonnet was making me feel hot.

Cons:

I know it may sound funny, but I have nothing bad to say about this hair. Maybe I would try it in a shorter style because my neck would get a bit hot on those 30 degree days, but overall I was pleased with the look, colour and styling.

I'll try and make my cornrows neater next time so I can wear them longer. I wasn't expecting them to last so long honestly!

Thank you! You can watch the video review in the link below.
That's it from me. Try the Passion Twist for yourself and let me know if you like it :)

Cheers,
Gaudi
